Digg Profile Shows Favorite Candidate
November 23, 2007
Brent wrote a great post the other day about Digg’s new Digg the Candidates section. Basically now on Digg, the 2008 candidates have their own section which lists how many friends they have and recent stories about them. From that screen you can ‘friend’ the candidate.
Now here’s my thought on this. At all cost, I try and avoid speaking about politics and religion with my friends. It’s just how I was raised and so far this has worked for me. When you friend a candidate on Digg it shows up on your profile page right underneath your avatar.
Could having your political views displayed on your profile hurt your social friendships? Would a new friend coming to your profile not befriend you because of who you were supporting?
In case you’re wondering…
As of today Ron Paul has the most friends on Digg.
With Barack Obama at a not-so-close 2nd.
And Hillary Clinton is not even close.

Hillary isn’t worried about “friends” on Digg. She knows Al Gore, who invented the Internet.
