Over the holiday break Greg cleaned up both my laptop and desktop. Apparently I am a computer pack rat, based on all the "OMG, you still have emails from 2005" and "OMG, haven’t you ever emptied your recycle bin"?
Yes. It’s true. Whenever I save something I think I’m going to use in the near future I save it to my desktop. I do save every email that is sent to me, even all the ones telling me that somebody wrote on my Facebook wall. The recycle bin has not been touched in well over a year and when Outlook asks me to archive, I close the window. There… it’s out, I said it and I’m not going to do it anymore.
Funny thing is that with everything else I am not that way. I give things away, shred documents I don’t need and throw things out regularly. I hate clutter. For whatever reason though, I like having 100 icons on my desktop to have a click away. I don’t mind it at all and I know where everything is. Or should I say, I knew where everything was. Greg was nice enough to organize and delete things for me and what do you know, my computer runs so much faster now.
So the only New Years resolution I made this year is to stay on top of my recycle bin, archive my email and file away my docs and spreadsheets.
Am I the only one that does this or are there other computer pack rats out there?

I flew home on US Airways yesterday out of Portland through Vegas to LAX. When I opened up my seat tray I found this…
This is the first time I have seen an ad on these seat trays, but really I think it’s a great idea. It’s always challenging to try and find a new place to market your product and to an audience that will be paying attention. This is perfect. People often get sick on planes and here is a cold remedy that may help me out later.
I took two separate flights on US Airways yesterday and they both had the Zicam ad on the trays, so I imagine it’s only a matter of time before other companies jump on this bandwagon.
Coincidently, I was standing in the medicine aisle at the market after my flight because I came home to a sick child. Yes, I did notice the Zicam (I didn’t buy it for my son), but I think next time I’m sick I will actually give it a try.

I’ve been noticing a few changed at SU. They’ve added a related videos section (not sure when this happened, but I just noticed it) on the right side of site reviews and a screen cap at the top of the site review.
I like the idea of the screen cap because there are times when I have reviewed a page, then gone back at a later date and it’s a different image or different content (sneaky spammers).
The related videos is eh-okay I suppose. I have yet to click on one, but time will tell if I get any use out of that. I have noticed that each time I’ve refreshed the page, the videos stay the same.
The other change that I’m not fond of is they reduced the amount of displayed users that liked a site from 40 to 35.
I don’t really understand why they did this? 40 was not enough IMO. I think if anything show me more if not all of them. Part of networking on SU is meeting people with common interests. If 100 people thumbed my site up, maybe I want to friend them or send them a message, but SU will only display 35 for some reason.

Social media contributers show their holiday spirit by decking out their avatars with holiday cheer.
Here are some that I found over the passed few weeks that I thought deserved some attention.
Diggers

Added 12/20 Sorry Famemoney, I did not see that teeny Santa hat, but well worth posting.

Many StumbleUpon newbies find their way to the Top Stumblers page to check out which users StumbleUpon has highlighted to be ‘Top Stumblers’. From there it’s likely that some of those users will add some Top Stumblers as friends in hopes that it will help build their profile or at least start them off on the right Stumble path.
I was curious as to who the Top Stumblers were, where they were from, how long they had been on SU, who had the most fans, etc. I took some time today to jot down this information for my own records and wanted to share it with you since it took me some time to go to each of their profiles I figured I’d give you a quick summary here to save you some time if you are interested.
First off, here they are as of 12/18/2007
